Penguin Froyo is a cute tiny shop with a great variety of desserts. They primarily serve crepes, gelato, froyo, and drinks that choosing what you want can be difficult. Penguin froyo features both savory and sweet crepes, with a cute smile decorated on the plates. The gelato is also noteworthy, with flavors such as honey lavender and creme brulee. The froyo is nothing particularly special, but it's not bad. If you're not looking for a cool dessert, they have warm drinks such as hot apple cider and other coffee, sugary beverages.The staff is quite friendly and the prices are moderate. The place is small, but they do accomodate a fair number of seats for groups. If you're a San Jose State student, you get plenty of discounts and specials by showing your id. Overall, this is a fair place to hang out if you're in San Jose and have a sweet craving.
